Brent Cross Patio

The proposed scheme will redevelop an existing area of external retail kiosks and hardstanding on the south side of Brent Cross Shopping Centre into a new outside food court and retail area known as “The Patio”.

The scheme includes:

• 9 no new food vending kiosks set around a new covered public seating area.
• 1 no new flower vending unit.
• New fabric canopy roof structures.
• Alterations to external paving and landscaping.
• New external lighting and street furniture.
• Alterations to existing car parking bays, including relocation of 6no disabled parking spaces and the re-provision of 7no standard parking spaces.
• Minor alterations to enhance servicing and access to and from the existing adjacent service yard.

The proposed ‘Patio’ area will encourage retail activity and life in an underutilised area outside the Shopping Centre and improve the visual amenity and safety of the external environment.

The proposal will also enhance an underused entrance to the Shopping Centre and rationalise and improve parking and pedestrian circulation.
