Downlands

The client, an internationally known aircraft parts supplier, wished to rationalise their facilities currently spread over the south of England by locating them on the existing campus that is the Downland Business Park to the north of Worthing . However to fully achieve their requirements the tenant required additional facilities to be built on the site including new offices, additional storage volume and car parking.

The existing buildings on the site were refurbished to accommodate amongst other things a 5 a side internal football pitch for the staff and an entertaining suite for clients.

Additional storage warehousing of approx 2000m2 in area was built by extending an existing unit and 1000m2 of offices were created to accommodate all of the administration staff transferred to the site.

A glazed bridge was built at first floor level to link two of the units and for accessing other staff facilities including canteen, lounge and games rooms.

Externally hard landscape designs were made to enhance the existing parking provision and also provide a setting for a new ‘aircraft tailfin’ sculpture.
