Private House, North London

This private house was totally refurbished to provide a spacious London modern family home.

The recent project included a new side extension which was visually separated from the main house by a glazed roof over the link which contained a separate staircase. The internal fabric was restored by adding appropriately scaled and detailed traditional cornices, skirtings and doors.

The remainder of the interior elements including cupboards, finishes and fittings were treated in a simple and contemporary way. In keeping with this aesthetic the house has been furnished with a mixture of purpose made joinery, carefully selected furniture and strongly coloured art works. The kitchen and bathrooms have the same uncompromisingly simple design approach.
